Essey-et-Maizerais is a French commune with 360 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Toul and the canton of Le Nord-Toulois (until 2015: canton of Thiaucourt-Regniéville ).

Essey-et-Maizerais is located on the Rupt de Mad about 30 kilometers southeast of Metz in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Essey-et-Maizerais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pannes in the north, Euvezin in the east, Flirey in the southeast, Saint-Baussant in the south and Lahayville in the south and west.
