It is assigned to the canton of Octeville-sur-Mer (until 2015: canton of Criquetot-l'Esneval ) and the Arrondissement of Le Havre . The inhabitants are called Angervillais .

Angerville-l'Orcher is located about 16 kilometers northeast of Le Havre near the English Channel . Angerville-l'Orcher is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vergetot and Saint-Sauveur-d'Émalleville in the north, Manneville-la-Goupil in the north-east, Graimbouville in the east, Étainhus in the south, Manéglise in the west and south-west and Hermeville in the north-west.
