Mélamare is a French municipality with 889 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Havre and the canton of Bolbec (until 2015: canton of Lillebonne ). The inhabitants are called Mélamarais .

Mélamare is located about 21 kilometers east-northeast of Le Havre in the Pays de Caux . Mélamare is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Eustache-la-Forêt in the north and northeast, Saint-Antoine-la-Forêt in the east, Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Taille in the southeast, La Cerlangue in the south, La Remuée in the west and Southwest and Les Trois-Pierres in the west and northwest.
