Fontaine-la-Mallet is a French commune with 2,626 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Havre and the canton of Octeville-sur-Mer . The inhabitants are called Fontainais .

Fontaine-la-Mallet is about eight kilometers north of Le Havre city ​​center . Fontaine-la-Mallet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Octeville-sur-Mer in the north and west, Montivilliers in the east and Le Havre in the south.
