La Frénaye is a French commune with 2,134 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Havre and the canton of Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon (until 2015: canton of Lillebonne ).

geography

La Frénaye is about 34 kilometers east of Le Havre . It is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lintot in the north, Auberville-la-Campagne in the northeast, Touffreville-la-Cable in the east, Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon in the south and Lillebonne in the west.

history

The place is on the old Roman road from Juliabona (Lillebonne) to Rotomagus ( Rouen ).
