The BOV (Borbeno Oklopno Vozilo) is a four-wheeled (4 × 4), all-wheel drive , amphibious armored transport vehicle from Yugoslav production.
description
The all-wheel-drive BOV troop transport with the 4 × 4 drive formula was developed in the former Yugoslavia in the early 1980s. The armored transport vehicle can accommodate up to eight men. The armored car is powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine from Deutz, which generates an output of 148 hp at 2,650 rpm. The armor can withstand fire from 7.62mm NATO ammunition. The vehicle is used both in the military and in the civil sector. The militia of the Yugoslav Ministry of the Interior also had BOV-M armored vehicles, which were equipped with machine guns, water and tear gas cannons, in order to counteract serious riots.
