This list of construction machine manufacturers provides an overview of former and currently producing construction machine manufacturers with information on the product range and the current status. It does not claim to be complete.

A.

Ahlmann
Former German compact wheel loader manufacturer that started operations in 1952. In 2002 it was finally taken over by the French manufacturer Mecalac .
Alfeld iron works
Founded in 1890, the company began manufacturing construction machinery in the 1920s and then specialized in the manufacture of concrete and asphalt mixing plants. After the bankruptcy in 1984, Ammann took over the plant in Alfeld and continued the production of asphalt mixing plants there.
General construction machinery company
Founded in 1945 as the construction machinery company in Hanover , the company moved to Hameln in 1950 and was henceforth called Allgemeine Baumaschinen Gesellschaft (ABG for short). The manufacturer focused on the development and production of static rollers, vibratory rollers and road pavers. In 1990 it was taken over by Ingersoll Rand and in 2007 it was sold to Volvo Construction Equipment .
Allis-Chalmers
It was founded in the United States in 1901 through the merger of four individual companies. Construction machinery production was later derived from agricultural machinery production and included bulldozers and loaders, wheel loaders, motor scrapers and graders. In 1974 the construction machinery division of Allis-Chalmers was merged into the joint venture Fiat-Allis .

German manufacturer that was founded in 1974 and has since concentrated on the production of special machines. For example, binder spreaders, soil stabilizers, bridge pavers, winch wagons and parabolic curve pavers are manufactured.
Ammann
Swiss company that started operations in 1869 and began manufacturing road rollers in 1911. In the course of its existence, Ammann took over several companies and in this way steadily expanded its production program. In 1984, Alfelder Eisenwerke and Duomat were taken over and the Ammann-Yanmar joint venture was founded in 1989 (dissolved in 2010). In 1991, the Italian asphalt plant manufacturer Società Italiana Macchine was taken over and in 1995 the trench roller manufacturer Rammax . The Czech manufacturer Stavostroj joined Ammann in 2005. In 2009 the Italian road paver manufacturer Antec / IRM and in 2014 the concrete mixing plant manufacturer Elba-Werk Maschinen-Gesellschaft were integrated into the company. The production program includes light compaction equipment (vibratory plates or trench rollers), heavy compaction equipment (single drum compactors and vibratory rollers), road pavers and concrete and asphalt mixing plants.

Atlas Copco
The Swedish mechanical engineering company, founded in 1873, has devoted itself to the development and manufacture of compressors and pneumatic hammers for use in construction since the beginning of the 20th century. With the takeover of Dynapac in 2007, rollers, road pavers and asphalt milling machines were also part of the product range for a time (2017 purchase of the road construction division of Fayat ).
Atlas
German construction machinery manufacturer that emerged from the Hinrich Weyhausen company founded in 1919 . After Hinrich Weyhausen's death in 1969, the two brothers Günter Weyhausen and Friedrich Weyhausen parted ways. Günter Weyhausen continued to run the Hinrich Weyhausen company based in Ganderkesee . The company joined Terex in 2002 due to financial difficulties . Atlas has been independent again since 2010 and manufactures hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders and hydraulic loading cranes in various sizes and performance classes.
Atlas Weyhausen
The company emerged from the Hinrich Weyhausen company founded in 1919 . After Hinrich Weyhausen's death in 1969, the two brothers Günter Weyhausen and Friedrich Weyhausen parted ways. Friedrich Weyhausen founded his own company in Wildeshausen in 1971 and has been manufacturing wheel loaders, compactors and vibratory rollers ever since. From 2016 these machines will be sold under the name Weycor .
AUSA
Founded in Spain in 1956, the vehicle manufacturer began producing compact dumpers for the construction industry in 1961. AUSA later also launched forklifts and telehandlers on the market. The machines have since been further developed and sold internationally.
Austin Western
American construction machinery manufacturer, which developed from the merger of the Austin Manufacturing Company and the Western Wheeled Scraper Company in 1901. After a series of takeovers starting in 1951, the Clark Equipment Company finally bought the company in 1971. Between 1901 and 1971 Austin-Western manufactured graders, road sweepers, rollers and mobile cranes.
Avant
After the closure of the Finnish agricultural machinery manufacturer Ylö Tehtaat , Avant, founded in 1991, took over the abandoned company premises in Ylöjärvi . Since then, the company has been developing and building compact loaders and suitable attachments for the international market at this location.

B.

Bell equipment
Founded in South Africa in 1958, the company developed from a small workshop into a world-famous supplier of construction machinery. The product range includes common earth-moving machines such as dump trucks, backhoe loaders, bulldozers, wheel loaders and graders as well as machines for milling and compacting asphalt.
BelAZ
Belarusian manufacturer founded in 1946 and started production in 1950. Since then, BelAZ has mainly developed and built larger dump trucks, wheel loaders and bulldozers.
Benati
The Italian company Benati was founded in 1961 by Renato Bacchini and, in the decades that followed, developed into Italy's second largest construction machinery manufacturer after Fiat. The product range included hydraulic excavators, wheel and crawler loaders, bulldozers and backhoe loaders. A few years after Renato Bacchini's death in 1983, the company was sold and the Benati brand gradually disappeared. In 2010 the company was re-established by the daughter Isabella Maria Bacchini and has been manufacturing mini and compact excavators as well as compact loaders ever since.
Benninghoven
Otto Benninghoven founded a machine factory in Hilden near Düsseldorf in 1909. From the 1960s onwards, the company was involved in the development and manufacture of drying drums for aggregates and machines for the production of mastic asphalt. In the mid-1980s, Benninghoven then specialized in the construction of asphalt mixing plants. The company has been part of the Wirtgen Group since 2014 , which in turn was taken over by John Deere in 2017 .
Miner
Mechanical engineering company from Germany, which was originally founded in 1960 as a repair company for agricultural and construction machinery. A few years later, however, Bergmann specialized and since then has been involved in the development and manufacture of dumpers with pneumatic tires and crawler tracks.
