Bliesdorf is a municipality in the district of Märkisch-Oderland in the state of Brandenburg in Germany . It belongs to the Office Barnim-Oderbruch in which its administrative headquarters in the city Wriezen has.

The community is located north of the Märkische Schweiz nature park, around 4 km south of Wriezen.

history
Bliesdorf, Kunersdorf and Metzdorf belonged to the Oberbarnim district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Bad Freienwalde district in the GDR district of Frankfurt (Oder) from 1952 . Since 1993 the places have been in the Brandenburg district of Märkisch-Oderland.
When the community was reorganized on December 31, 1997 from the previous communities Bliesdorf and Kunersdorf / Metzdorf, it was given the rather long name Bliesdorf-Kunersdorf-Metzdorf . On May 1st, 1998 the community was renamed Bliesdorf .

The strong population growth in 1997 is due to the merger with Kunersdorf and Metzdorf. In 2015, an asylum seekers home was set up in the community.

Attractions
The list of monuments in Bliesdorf includes the monuments entered in the list of monuments of the state of Brandenburg.
The main attraction of Bliesdorf is the neo-Gothic village church from 1881/1882 .
In the Kunersdorf district, the castle park, which was designed in 1824 according to plans by Peter Joseph Lenné , was reconstructed as a landscape park after its total destruction in 1945. In the former palace, which was managed by the landlady Helene Charlotte von Friedland , Adelbert von Chamisso wrote his work Peter Schlemihl's wondrous story . The cemetery with the grave colonnade of those of Lestwitz and Itzenplitz with nine niches separated by Doric column pairs under a continuous cornice is equipped with steles, reliefs and marble urns by the sculptors Johann Gottfried Schadow , Christian Daniel Rauch and Christian Friedrich Tieck .
West of the hamlet of Kunersdorf was the early 1980s, the Ministry of National Defense of the GDR the bunker Kunersdorf built.
