history
The place was first mentioned in the 15th century in a deed of donation from Matthias Corvinus under the place name Tyuko .
Over the centuries different spellings of the place name appeared: 1464 Thywko , 1690–1700 Zsukisch , 1808 Csukics , 1888 Csukics , 1913: Tyukó , 1919: Ciuchiciu .
Czukisch is entered on the Josephine land survey of 1717 . After the Peace of Passarowitz (1718) the village was part of the Habsburg crown domain Temescher Banat .
As a result of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867), the Banat was annexed to the Kingdom of Hungary within the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary .
The Treaty of Trianon on June 4, 1920 resulted in the Banat being divided into three , whereby Ciuchici fell to the Kingdom of Romania .
