Colombiers is a municipality with 1501 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the central west of France . It belongs to the canton of Châtellerault-1 (until 2015: canton of Châtellerault-Ouest ) in the arrondissement of Châtellerault and to the community association Communauté d'agglomération du Pays Châtelleraudais . The inhabitants are called Colombinois .

geography

Colombiers is located about ten kilometers west-southwest of Châtellerault , in the Pays Châtelleraudais . Colombiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities Scorbé-Clairvaux in the north, Thuré in the northeast, Naintré in the east, Beaumont in the south and Marigny-Brizay in the west and southwest.
