The FA Cup 1987/88 was the 107th staging of the world's oldest soccer cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup , or FA Cup for short . The cup competition ended with the final at Wembley Stadium on May 14, 1988. The winner of this event was Wimbledon FC .

The FA Cup is played in rounds. Any team that has a certain level of performance and an appropriate playing field can take part. The game is played i. d. Usually only with a first leg. In the event of a tie, there will be a second leg. If this does not result in a decision, further repetitions are scheduled; until a winning team is determined. Each winner receives a bonus from the television money, which is staggered according to the round.
Main round
First main round
The games were played on the weekend of November 14, 1987. With one exception; Welling United vs. Carshalton Athletic was played on November 23. The replay took place on November 16 and 17.
Second main round
The games were played on December 5 and 6, 1987. The replay took place on the 9th to 18th of the month.
Third main round
The games were played on the weekend of January 9, 1988. Necessary replay games have been scheduled for January 12th to 27th.
Fourth main round
The games took place on January 30th to February 1st, 1988. The required replay matches were played on February 3rd and 9th.

Semifinals
