The Fiat 238 is a pickup truck with four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive of Fiat , which the Fiat 1100 T replaced. It was built from September 1966 and offered in different variations: as a panel van, station wagon, flatbed, flatbed with double cab, as a minibus, luxury bus, mobile home, school bus or as an ambulance (only with 38 kW, also as a control chain version).

The 1200 version was not available in Germany, only the larger-displacement versions were offered. The Fiat 241 with rear-wheel drive for higher payloads was derived from the 238 .

The companies Weinsberg and Westfalia converted the Fiat 238 into camper vans. Due to the good space concept thanks to the front-wheel drive and the resulting flat loading floor, the interior was easy to use despite the relatively small footprint, which means that a bed size of around 1.95 × 1.70 meters can be achieved, which is often only possible in larger vehicles .
