The Fiat Campagnola is a two-door off-road vehicle with a fabric top or a fixed body. It appeared in 1951 as type 1101 and was replaced in 1974 by the Fiat 1107 "Nuova Campagnola", which was built until 1987. The Fiat 1101 had a separate box frame and a 4-cylinder in-line engine with 1,905 cm³ displacement and initially an output of 53 hp (39 kW) at 3700 rpm. A partially synchronized four-speed transmission with means circuit and distributor countershaft two speed all four wheels are driven (front-wheel drive switched on). A switchable PTO was available on request. At the rear, a rigid axle was installed on leaf springs and hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers, the front wheels were individually suspended on slightly inclined double wishbones with coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers. The front suspension comes from the Fiat 1100 B. The maximum speed was 110 km / h.

In 1953 the Fiat Campagnola Diesel appeared , which, like the Fiat 1400 Diesel and the Fiat 615 N light truck, was powered by a four-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 1,905 cm³ and a maximum output of 40 hp (29 kW) at 3200 rpm. It reached a top speed of 85 km / h.

In 1955, both models were revised. In the case of the gasoline engine, the engine output rose to 61 PS (45 kW) to 63 PS (46 kW) at 4000 rpm, and the top speed to 116 km / h. The new diesel developed 43 hp (31.6 kW) at 3800 rpm and allowed a top speed of 95 km / h.

From 1974 there was the Fiat Campagnola II , type 1107, with a gasoline engine, 80 hp (59 kW) at 4600 rpm from 1.995 cm³ displacement and five instead of four-speed gearbox. It had a new body and a new chassis with wheels that were individually suspended at the front and rear on shock absorber struts and wishbones with torsion bar springs.

In 1979 the diesel with the new body was also presented. The Fiat Campagnola Diesel 2500 had a 4-cylinder in-line engine with 2,445 cm³ and 72 hp (53 kW) at 4200 rpm.
