The Fiat Fiorino (type 327) also known as Novo Fiorino is since 2013 in Brazil built vans of the Italian car manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles . In Mexico the model is marketed as the Ram ProMaster Rapid , while in other Latin American countries it is marketed as the Ram V700 Rapid and Ram 700 Van .
The basis is provided by the locally produced Fiat Uno . The previous model, Type 146, as a panel van and flatbed truck, most recently based on the Mille / Uno II , was built in Brazil for emerging countries until 2013 and also for Europe until 2000. Fiat replaced the pickup truck with the Fiat Strada pickup, the panel truck with the Fiat Doblò . A new Fiorino has been available in Europe since 2008, which is manufactured by Tofaş in Bursa (Turkey) together with the identical Peugeot Bipper and Citroën Nemo by PSA Peugeot Citroën . However, it was not worthwhile for Fiat to produce its own for the emerging countries or to import, especially since the old Doblò is also produced and sold in South America. Due to the discontinuation of production of the Fiat Mille, however, the situation arose for Fiat that a small commercial vehicle would be missing in the future. It was therefore decided, based on the Type 327, to create a small van in the old design with the passenger compartment of a small car up to the B-pillar and a box body attached to the rear. The only engine variant is the 1.4 liter petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission, or optionally with a 4- speed automatic transmission, taken from the Novo Uno . It has a maximum output of 64 kW (87 hp). The top speed is 157 km / h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 13.9 seconds. The load space behind the seat has a capacity of 3.14 m³ and can be accessed either via an upward-opening tailgate or two side-hinged door leaves.
