The Fiat Mobi is a microcar that Fiat has been producing since 2016 as the successor to the Fiat Mille at the Betim plant in Brazil . Originally, a correspondingly reduced model of the Fiat Palio was supposed to compensate for the elimination of the Mille, which is now technically outdated for the emerging countries and has declining sales figures, based on the Fiat Uno . At the end of production of the Mille, however, it became clear that this would be the case with the upcoming VW up! or Renault Kwid and other competing models would not be enough to keep Fiat's market share in the segment. Therefore, before the end of production of the Mille, a new development was started with the order of a low purchase price with modern technology and optics, located in the model range below the Fiat Novo Uno , while the Palio-Fire basic model remains the entry-level version in the Fiat model range. On April 13, 2016, Fiat officially presented the Mobi for the first time after various photos and information had appeared on the Internet and in car newspapers.
Technology, equipment
The Mobi is only available as a five-door station wagon . The only available engine is the 999 cc Fire Flex Otto engine with 53 kW (73 hp) at 6250 rpm and a torque of 95 Nm (55 kW and 99 Nm with pure ethanol fuel operation at 3850 rpm).
This engine turns the Mobi into a flexible fuel vehicle , which means that the engine can be operated with either gasoline or ethanol fuel in any composition. For the future, Fiat has announced the installation of modern three-cylinder gasoline engines for the model.
The platform of the Mobi is that of the Novo Uno with the 1.0 liter gasoline engine and five-speed manual transmission. Parts of the interior are also the same. With a retail price of R $ 31,900 , around € 8,000 , to 43,800 real (around € 11,000), however, it is cheaper.
Six equipment versions are available:
- Easy front airbags , anti-lock braking system , emergency brake assist , rear seat 2/3 can be split and folded down, bumpers in body color, 13-inch wheels with covers, automatically dimming interior mirror, passenger sun visor with mirror, electric front windows, central locking, interval switching for the windscreen wipers and heated ones Rear window.
- Easy On also air conditioning , power steering , height-adjustable steering wheel, 14-inch alloy wheels.
- Like also four electric windows, predisposition radio, on-board computer, Keyless Go , center console with cup holder for the rear passengers, handles and exterior mirrors in body color, shiny black radiator grille, fuel filler flap that opens automatically via voice command. Optional Fiat Live On Navigation with alarm function and paddles on the steering wheel.
- Like On additional fog lights, driver's seat with height adjustment, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with integrated indicators, parking sensors , two-tone seats with white stitching, Fiat Live On navigation with alarm function and paddles on the steering wheel.
- Way SUV variant with all the equipment features mentioned so far, paneled bumpers and wheel arches as well as roof rails. As an option, 2 different sound systems can be selected.
- Way One This is the most complete version of the Fiat Mobi that includes all the equipment options.
