The Fiat Freemont was a crossover model from the Fiat brand , which was offered on the European market from summer 2011 . The Freemont (like the three centimeters lower sister model Dodge Journey ) was manufactured in Toluca , Mexico . The basic price in Germany ranged from approx. € 27,000 to € 34,000 (as of 02/2014).

After the Fiat group had started a collaboration with Chrysler , it was decided to coordinate the model range. The Fiat Freemont is the successor to the Fiat Ulysse and the sister model of the Dodge Journey , which like the Dodge brand is no longer represented in Europe. The Freemont made its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show . On Republic Day and the 150th anniversary of the founding of Italy ( Kingdom of Italy ), 70 vehicles were used as VIP vans.
Sales of 13,000 vehicles in Europe were planned for 2011, but by July 2011 18,000 orders had already been received. The market launch in Germany took place in August 2011. Production was stopped in 2016.
