The Fiat 1800 is a 1959 automobile from the manufacturer Fiat with a self-supporting body in the then modern trapezoidal shape. It was available as a four-door notchback sedan and as a five-door station wagon (Familiare). The basic body shape was also used for the better equipped Fiat 2100 and Fiat 1500 L. The 2100 became the Fiat 2300 with a corresponding increase in displacement in the autumn of 1961 .

The 1800 model had a six-cylinder in- line engine with 1795 cm³ displacement and an output of 55 kW, a 4-speed gearbox with steering wheel gearshift and rear-wheel drive . Its top speed was, depending on the version, 137–142 km / h. In 1961 it was replaced by the 1800 B model, the engine of which had an output of 60 kW and a top speed of 143–146 km / h.

Based on the 1800, there was also a version - mainly intended as a taxi - in which the four-cylinder engine of the Fiat 1500 was used. It was called 1500 L (lungo = long). Internally, Fiat referred to the 1800 as Type 112, the Fiat 2100 and 2300 as 114 and the Fiat 1500 L as 115.

Production was stopped at the end of 1968. The export to Germany ended in the summer of 1965.

The models were also produced in Spain as Seat 1400, 1500, 1800D and Seat 2000D. The last two were with Mercedes - diesel engines equipped and popular as taxis.

A total of around 185,000 copies of the series were produced. There was no direct successor, but the role of Fiat's top model had been the Fiat 2300 since 1961 .
