The Neustadt / Aisch special airfield is the airfield of the Middle Franconian town of Neustadt an der Aisch . It is supported by the Flugsportgruppe Neustadt / Aisch e. V. operated.

location

The airfield is located about two kilometers west of Neustadt on a clearly exposed plateau. The district of Diebach is to the north and Pulvermühle to the south . To the south the terrain drops steeply to the valley of the Aisch , to the north and west it rises gently to the ridge of the Steigerwald .

Airfield and equipment

The airfield is approved for aircraft up to 5700 kg. The owner of the airfield is the Flugsportgruppe Neustadt / Aisch e. V.

There are several farm buildings, a café, a hangar, a workshop and there is a refueling facility.

The area is also used by the parachuting club Neustadt Aisch eV and other clubs.

history

  • In 1928 the Flugsportgruppe Neustadt / Aisch e. V. founded.
  • In 2017, adolescents used the airfield premises at night for driving exercises, during which they had serious accidents.

Incidents

  • On June 14, 2013, there was a plane crash in which one pilot was killed alone. A Beechcraft Bonanza ( aircraft registration D-EKRU ) took off on a sightseeing flight and crashed only about one kilometer from the airfield for reasons that were not clear.

traffic

A municipal road opens up the airfield to the federal road 8 running immediately south in the Aischgrund . The public transport does not serve the airport.
