Handball Bundesliga 1981/82

The handball Bundesliga 1982/83 was the sixth of the single-track seasons and the total of the 17th season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the handball Bundesliga . The season began on September 4, 1982 and ended with the last game day on June 4, 1983.

14 teams played for the German championship. The first in the table on the last day of the game was German champions 1983. MTSV Schwabing , TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen and HSG Hannover (as SV Hannover police ) were promoted to the new season . In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the ninth time.

The German champion in 1983 was the team from VfL Gummersbach for the ninth time in the club's history .

The police SV Hannover moved to the 17th matchday his team back for economic reasons and thus was clear already the first relegated. The 16 games played up to then were taken out of the rating. TuS Nettelstedt and SG Dietzenbach , which withdrew to the district league, also had to relegate from the handball Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga .

The top scorer was Erhard Wunderlich from VfL Gummersbach with 182 goals .

The DHB Cup, which was played for the ninth time, was won by the VfL Gummersbach team.
