Hannelore Werner
Hannelore Werner (born January 17, 1942 in Hürth ) was a well-known motor sportsperson in Germany in the 1960s and early 1970s . She rose to Formula 2 .
Career
Hannelore Werner was born in the Hermülheim district of the city of Hürth. She made her first contact with motorsport in the DKW F 11. She then gained experience in Formula V 1300 , Formula 3 and Formula 2 . From 1979 until his death in 2000 she was married to the entrepreneur Günther Hennerici , the owner of the Eifelland motorsport team that was active in the 1970s . She has two sons and a daughter. She is a dental technician by profession. For a few years she lived in the pilgrimage town of St. Jost near Langenfeld in the Eifel and ran a small restaurant. Then she moved to Boos , not far from the Nürburgring.

- About a race that Hannelore Werner drove in an AU 1000 S at the age of 20 in 1962 as part of the International DKW Silver Shield Race on the Nürburgring :
“In the race she collided with a participant. Then the dragging fender blocked the right rear wheel. Hannelore Werner loosened the fender with his bare hands on the route and then went on the chase. She was able to finish the race in 5th place in her group. "
- In the Formula 2 race on August 2, 1970 at the Nürburgring, which was held in place of the German Grand Prix that had been relocated to Hockenheim, Hannelore Werner took second place behind Xavier Perrot with a March 702 . She drove the race over 10 laps (228.35 km) in 1: 27: 21.1 hours. Places three to six went to Alistair Walker, Brian Cullar, Graham Birrell and Derek Bell .
- In 1969 she won the forerunner of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring , the 24-hour endurance test, in a BMW , together with co-driver Rüdiger Faltz.
