The 1999/2000 season was the 55th regular season of the International Hockey League . During the regular season, the 13 teams played 82 games each. In the play-offs, the Chicago Wolves prevailed and won the second Turner Cup in their club history.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Fort Wayne Komets moved to the United Hockey League .
- The Indianapolis Ice moved to the Central Hockey League .
- The Las Vegas Thunder stopped playing.
