List of historic buildings in Austria
The list of historic buildings in Austria gives an overview of buildings of historicism in Austria .
In Vienna, a classifying historicism was used, especially in the construction of the Ringstrasse , which began with the demolition of the city wall in the 1860s, and from there throughout the entire monarchy, hence one speaks of the Wilhelminian style or the Viennese Ringstrasse style . The romanticizing historicism in the summer resort regions is called the Heimatstil .
