Hinter'm Bruch nature reserve

The nature reserve Hinter'm Bruch with a size of 41.86  ha is located west and north of Alme in the urban area of Brilon . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan . The NSG is limited to 1.8 km on the northwest side by the B 480 .

Area description

The NSG is a sieve system with local forests. Stocks of broken red alder are found on the damp sites . There are also larger stocks of ash in the NSG. A beech population was also included in the NSG. There are also red spruce stocks in the NSG .

Protection purpose

In the NSG, the Siepen system there and the forest there are to be protected. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
