Kleine Heide nature reserve
The nature reserve Kleine Heide with a size of 6.02 hectares is located northeast of Alme in the urban area of Brilon . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan .
Area description
The NSG is a wet meadow area. In the NSG there is a pond with a high degree of coverage of pond roses . Rare animal and plant species are found in the NSG.
Protection purpose
In the NSG, the wet meadow area with its species inventory is to be protected. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
