The Democratic Republic of the Congo took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with a delegation of two athletes.

Since 1968 it was the sixth participation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

The marathon runner Willy Kalombo carried the flag of the Democratic Republic of Congo during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
