Ghana took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with 22 athletes, 6 women and 16 men, in 13 competitions in two sports.

For the African country it was the tenth participation in the Summer Olympics since 1952 .

Flag bearer

Track and field athlete Kennedy Osei carried the flag of Ghana during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
