Paulhac is about 37 kilometers east-northeast of Aurillac . The municipality is crossed by the Épie River. Paulhac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Laveissenet and Valuéjols in the north, Tanavelle in the east, Les Ternes in the south-east, Cussac in the south and south-east, Cézens in the south, Brezons in the west and Albepierre-Bredons in the north-west.
