Saint-Brevin-les-Pins is a French municipality with 13,802 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It is located at the mouth of the Loire in the Atlantic . The southern abutment of the Saint-Nazaire bridge is located in the municipality .
geography
The municipality is located around 60 kilometers west of Nantes . The Saint-Nazaire Bridge connects the commune with the city of Saint-Nazaire on the other side of the Loire River.
nature
The community has a diverse nature: On the one hand, there are nine kilometers of sandy beaches by the sea. Then there is the partly wooded dune landscape behind the beaches, wooded areas in the hinterland and the mouth of the Loire.
The menhir de la Pierre Attelée is in a public park in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. The menhir Pierre de Gargantua is in Mindin, north of the village. Pont Gaulois or Pont-Bossu ("Gallic bridge", "humpbacked bridge") is a simple flagstone bridge from the Gallic period near the village.
