history

Local history

Today's Solanka was probably created between 1402 and 1410 by Commander Marquard von Salzbach . The von Wernsdorf and von Stutterheim families also belonged to the later owners . The name Salzbach is derived from this. In 1785 it was a noble estate and counted 20 residential buildings with the associated Vorwerk , after 1785 it was called "Salzbach B". In 1817 29 buildings were registered here.

On April 30, 1874, the village was - it was now back the name "Salzbach" (without additives) - office Village and anemsgebend for a District in the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On September 30, 1928, the three neighboring estate districts Adlig Mühlbach ( Polish : Młynowo ), Knipprode (Chojnica) and Salzbach were incorporated into the Salzbach rural community .

In 1945, at the end of World War II , the Red Army marched into the area. As a result of the war, Salzbach became part of the People's Republic of Poland as Solanka . In 1954 the place became the seat of a Gromada , which was dissolved again in 1957. At this time, a new school building was also built, which in 1970 housed an eight-grade elementary school. 1973 belonged to the Schulzenamt Solanka, in addition to Solanka itself, the localities Chojnica (Knipprode) , Kąty (Langeneck) and Młynowo (Adlig Mühlbach) .
