The Center for Inner Leadership ( ZInFü ) is a military department of the Bundeswehr for training civil and military personnel and for research on issues relating to Inner Leadership .

tasks

The center sees itself as a training facility for corporate culture , leadership philosophy and the soldier profession. On behalf of the General Inspector of the Federal Armed Forces (GenInspBw), it serves to further develop the management concept of the Federal Armed Forces, internal leadership, and also represents it externally. In Koblenz military and civilian leaders from the business-oriented use in the areas of leadership , political education, law trained and military discipline. In addition, the center acts as a central training facility for the administration of justice in the Bundeswehr (ZAR). Last but not least, it deals with the internal and social situation of the armed forces and with questions of security policy .

organization

The center has been directly subordinate to the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) since August 1, 2017 . Militarily, reports to the Internal Leadership Center the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr , technically the department leadership Armed Forces in the Federal Ministry of Defense.

The management of the center includes the commander, whose post is endowed as major general , the representative of the inspector general for education and training and deputy commander ( brigadier general ) and the chief of staff ( colonel ).

The center is divided into five departments and two independent areas:

Since July 2014, the Center for Military History and Social Sciences of the Bundeswehr (ZMSBw) in Potsdam has been subordinate to the center . Subordinate to this is the Military History Museum of the Bundeswehr (MHM) in Dresden , which maintains the Air Force Museum branch in Berlin-Gatow .

history

The center was founded in 1956 as the Bundeswehr School for Inner Guidance (InFüSBw) in Cologne and moved to Koblenz in 1957 . The Baudissin employee Günter Will played a decisive role in the educational concept . Gerhard Möbus was the first scientific director. In 1981 it was renamed the Inner Guidance Center . Civic Education and International Cooperation have been based at the Strausberg branch since 1994 .

A “Friends of the Center for Inner Leadership” has existed since 2006. He was appointed by the former commander Flotilla Admiral a. D. Ulrich Hundt and 42 other people. The members of the Freundeskreis include a. the former inspector general of the Bundeswehr General a. D. Wolfgang Schneiderhan , the former chairman of the board of the Federal Employment Agency Colonel Frank-Jürgen Weise and the former defense commissioner of the German Bundestag Claire Marienfeld . Hundt was followed by the former commanders, Brigadier General a. D. Hans-Christian Beck and 2013 Brigadier General ret. D. Alois Bach.

Together with the Inner Guidance Center and the Karl Theodor Molinari Foundation , he organizes a regular colloquium .
