Sri Lankan national cricket team in India for the 2006/07 season

The Sri Lankan national cricket team tour to India in the 2006/07 season took place from February 8 to 17, 2007. The international cricket tour was part of the 2006/07 international cricket season and included four ODIs . India won the series 2–1.

prehistory

India last played a tour against the West Indies , Sri Lanka in New Zealand . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2006 season in Sri Lanka . For both teams it was the last preparation for the Cricket World Cup 2007 . In India , prior to the tour, the government made a decision to share private broadcasting rights-holders with nationally important sporting events, which included all matches of the national cricket team, with Indian state television, Doordarshan .
