... Baby One More Time (. English for: ... Baby One More Time ') is the debut album of American pop - singer Britney Spears , who thus music in pop, moving pop / rock and dance area. With 14 million units sold, it is the best-selling debut album by an artist ever released in the US and laid the foundation for her superstar status in the year of its release. Originally the album was just supposed to be called Britney Spears , but due to the success of the title track, it was finally named after the track because of the recognition factor. With over 30 million copies sold, the album is one of the 25 most successful albums of all time.

The album was first released as a promo cassette in January 1998 with five snippets of demo songs. The cassette had the same cover that was later chosen for the single booklet … Baby One More Time . The Australian publication, however, showed Spears in a white dress praying.

The above tracklist is that of the original US version, but there are numerous other compilations for global markets. With the exception of the US version, the song Deep in My Heart was inserted in ninth position in all of these releases and the song I'll Never Stop Loving You was added as track 13 . The releases intended for the Australian, Asian and Japanese markets also contain the song Autumn Goodbye .
The Brazilian release also included the Davidson Ospina radio mix of … Baby One More Time , which is also included in the Australian and Japanese versions, but which, like the Asian version, also has the Boy Wonder radio mix of the same song Offer. The Asian version includes two CDs, with the second CD including three remix versions of (You Drive Me) Crazy .

Although the reviews weren't overwhelming, the album became a huge commercial hit. It immediately reached number 1 in both the USA and Canada, and later also in other countries. The album was in the Billboard Top Ten for 51 weeks , in the Top Twenty for 60 weeks and on the Billboard 200 for over two years. The album, its lyrics and the music videos supported Spears' signature virgin image of the late 90s. The title song became a number 1 hit in the US, the others made it to the top 10 or top 20 hits. In the US, the album achieved 14 platinum status for over 14 million copies. ... Baby One More Time is the best-selling teen album to date, both in the US and around the world. Spears also wrote music history because she was the first artist whose album and the single released simultaneously reached # 1 in the US.
In France , the album stayed in the charts for 38 weeks, where it reached number 4. It has sold more than 545,000 copies and has been twice platinum. In the UK, the album debuted at number 8, rose to number 2, and stayed in the charts for a year, going platinum three times.
Spears' debut album sold over 28 million copies worldwide. The artist has not yet achieved this sales figure with any other album, although the follow-up album Oops! I Dit It Again was able to achieve similarly good sales figures.
