The A Grupa 2005/06 was the 82nd season of the highest Bulgarian football league . The season started on August 6, 2005 and ended on May 31, 2006.
Levski Sofia became the master .

16 teams started the season, divided into a first and a second half of each other twice. At the end of the season, the last three teams were relegated directly to B Grupa .
Pirin Blagoevgrad was stripped of their license after two match days after failing to meet their obligations. The two results were canceled and the season continued with 15 clubs.
