Aixe-sur-Vienne ( Occitan Aissa ) is a French village with 5836 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
geography
Aixe-sur-Vienne is about nine kilometers west of Limoges on both banks of the Vienne River . The Aixette flows into the Vienne from the left and the Aurence from the right . On the way from Limoges to Périgueux , national road 21 runs from east to southwest through the municipality. The city lies on the edge of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park .

Town twinning
There has been a town twinning with Großhabersdorf in the Middle Franconian district of Fürth since 1982 , which was supplemented in 2000 by a partnership with Święciechowa in the Polish voivodeship of Greater Poland . In 2010, Malinska in the Croatian Kvarner County was added as the third partner municipality .
