Altmittweida is a municipality in Waldhufendorf form in the district of Central Saxony in Saxony . It is located about one kilometer south of the city of Mittweida .
geography
Altmittweida is located on the Altmittweidaer Bach, which flows into the Zschopau . Adjacent communities are Lichtenau , Claußnitz , Königshain-Wiederau and the city of Mittweida. State road 241 runs through Altmittweida .
history
The elongated Waldhufendorf , which at that time comprised the corridors of the later Altmittweida and Mittweida, was founded after 1160. The name refers to a settlement in the middle of a (forest) pasture. The addition of old became necessary when the northern part around the Mittweida church and the aristocratic seat developed into the town of Mittweida in the 13th century . Mittweida was first mentioned as a city in 1286. In 1350 the now independent village of Altmittweida is mentioned as antiqua Miteweide . In 1485 Altmittweida received a church, which was probably built on the foundations of a Romanesque church built before 1250 . It belonged to the Reformation to Archidiakonat Zschillen . The current building was built between 1738 and 1743 after a fire. The lower district bordering Mittweida is parish to Mittweida to this day.
Regarding the manorial rule , Altmittweida was divided into the 19th century. Around 1548 a part was Amtsdorf in the Rochlitz office , a second part belonged to the Neusorge manor , a third part belonged to the Ottendorf parish and the fourth part belonged to the Mittweida council. Around 1764 only the Rochlitz official portion and the Neusorg manor portion are documented. Because of these various manors, Altmittweida belonged to the Rochlitz office and the Neusorge rule , which from 1610 belonged to the Augustusburg office, until the middle of the 19th century . From 1836 the place was under the authority of Frankenberg-Sachsenburg . In 1856 Altmittweida was assigned to the Mittweida court office and in 1875 to the Rochlitz district administration.
As a result of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, Altmittweida was assigned to the Hainichen district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Hainichen in 1990 and in the district of Mittweida in 1994 and in the district of Central Saxony in 2008 rose.
