Angliers is a French village with 629 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun (until 2015: canton of Moncontour ). The inhabitants are called Anglésiens .

Angliers is about 37 kilometers north-northwest of Poitiers . The municipality is bordered by the Briande River to the north and east . Angliers is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chalais in the north, La Roche-Rigault in the east and north-east, Guesnes in the east and south-east, La Chaussée and Aulnay in the south, Martaizé in the west and south-west and Mouterre-Silly in the west and north-west.
