Bambule was a German television magazine with Sarah Kuttner that was broadcast on ZDFneo . The in-house production was tested as part of the TVLab 2011 and included in the regular program the following year. The program was broadcast from March 1, 2012 on Thursdays at 9:45 p.m. (from the fourth season at 11:30 p.m.). The editor-in-chief of the first two seasons was Thorsten Berrar, the third and fourth seasons were Hasko Baumann's responsibility.

Bambule was extended by ZDFneo for a second season, which started on October 11, 2012. On December 6, 2012, Kuttner announced on their Facebook page that a third season should be broadcast from April 11th. During the broadcast of the third season, a fourth season was announced in mid-June, which started in fall 2013.

content

On August 31, 2011, ZDFneo broadcast a pilot episode of Bambule as part of the TVLab campaign . This project was a pilot program that viewers voted on online. Bambule came third among the ten participants. In October 2011, ZDF confirmed that Bambule will continue with a full season of 15 episodes. It is Kuttner's first long-term television project since her shows on VIVA and MTV .

According to the broadcaster, the program is intended to present and reflect the situation and emotions of 30 to 40 year olds. ZDFneo also describes the program as a “reporter magazine, personality show and attack on ubiquitous indifference”. Social, political and cultural topics should be dealt with. Sarah Kuttner moderates the program mostly in public places such as pedestrian zones, parks or downtown Berlin; there is no studio. The format combines interviews with investigative journalism and "plays on the border between fun and seriousness". Kuttner is supported in the program by Johanna Maria Knothe, who is mostly in the political field and asks politicians questions and their opinions.

Each issue deals with a set of topics on which different views are treated.

reception

The premiere broadcast on March 1, 2012 reached 60,000 viewers. This corresponds to 0.2% market share and 0.4 market share between 14 and 49 years of age. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung rated their program benevolently.
