Budy

Budy ( Ukrainian Буди ; Russian Буды ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with around 6,000 inhabitants (2019).

Budy has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1938 and is the administrative center of the settlement council of the same name within Kharkiv Raion . The municipality, which has an area of ​​37.71 km², also includes the villages of Bystre ( Бистре ) with about 100 inhabitants and Bidrjahy ( Бідряги ) with about 180 inhabitants.

In the east the settlement borders on Berezivka and in the southeast on the urban area of Piwdenne . The center of Kharkiv is 26 km northeast of the village. The M 29 trunk road runs west of Budy . There is a train station and a porcelain factory founded at the end of the 19th century.
