Coulombiers is about 15 kilometers southwest of Poitiers . Coulombiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Montreuil in the north and west, Béruges in the north and north-east, Croutelle in the north-east, Marçay in the east and south-east, Cloué in the south and Lusignan in the west and south-west.

The Via Turonensis , a variant of the Camino de Santiago , and the A10 autoroute run through the municipality.
