Erni Mangold
Erni Mangold (born January 26, 1927 in Großweikersdorf , Lower Austria , Austria ; also Erna Mangold and Ernie Mangold; actually Ernestine Goldmann ) is an Austrian actress and director .
Life
Erni Mangold comes from a family of artists. The father, the school principal in his job, was a painter. The mother, who for the sake of the family had given up a possible career as a concert pianist, gave her piano lessons from the age of four to fourteen.
After her training at the Krauss drama school , Erni Mangold was engaged at the Vienna Theater in der Josefstadt from 1946 to 1956 , from 1955 to 1963 under Gustaf Gründgens at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, then at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus under Karlheinz Stroux . After various engagements in Vienna and Germany, she worked at the Salzburg Mozarteum in 1972 , then taught at the Helmuth Krauss Theater School and at the Reinhardt Seminar and was professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna from 1984 to 1995 .
Erni Mangold can be seen in over sixty films and over twenty TV productions, the best known being her role as the seer's lover in the film Hanussen by O. W. Fischer . She also appeared in three episodes of the crime series Kottan Investigated and in a few Tatort episodes. In January 2017 she announced that she wanted to say goodbye to the stage with the production of Harold and Maude at the Wiener Kammerspiele , the last performance took place in December 2017.
From 1958 to 1978 she was married to the actor Heinz Reincke . Today she lives in St. Leonhard am Hornerwald .
