The car is a rarity insofar as its technology is based on the Ferrari 375 Plus , the works car of Scuderia Ferrari in the 1954 World Sports Car Championship .

technology

This car was the seventh and last of the 375 Plus bodyworked by Pinifarina. The car had the 5-liter V12 engine of the racing car, which developed 320 hp. In contrast to the 375 Plus with De-Dion axle , the rigid axle of the 375MM was installed in the Cabriolet because the De-Dion axle required too much space. Leopold III, who was in Maranello a few times, had many special requests. A special feature was an altimeter that was attached to the lid of the glove compartment. Leopold had also chosen the green leather for the interior. The black painted car is now owned by a US collector.
