The Ferrari F60 was the 42nd Formula 1 racing car of the Scuderia Ferrari . With him, the team contested all 17 races of the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship .
Presentation and name
The F60 was presented to the public online on January 12, 2009. The maiden voyage took place on the same day by Felipe Massa . The first full test took place a week later in Mugello .
The name of the F60 refers to Ferrari's membership in Formula 1 . 2009 was Ferrari's 60th year in Formula 1.
technology
The F60 was designed by Aldo Costa . Gilles Simon developed the type 056 V8 engine . In all races, except for the Chinese Grand Prix , the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) was used, which was otherwise only used in the BMW Sauber F1.09 , McLaren MP4-24 and the Renault R29 .
driver
The driver pairing from the previous year remained unchanged. In 2009 the car was again driven by Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen . After his accident in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix , Massa was replaced by Luca Badoer and Giancarlo Fisichella for the remaining races .
Räikkönen took first place - whereby the team finished fourth out of ten in the constructors' championship with 70 points.
