The 1973 Automobile World Championship was the 24th season of the Automobile World Championship, which is now known as the Formula 1 World Championship . Over 15 races were held between January 28, 1973 and October 7, 1973, the drivers' world championship and the International Cup of Formula 1 Constructors .
Jackie Stewart won the Drivers' World Championship for the third and final time. Lotus - Ford became world constructors champion for the sixth time.
The FIA title of honor European Grand Prix was awarded to the Belgian Grand Prix in 1973 .
