Kümmertshausen is a village in the municipality of Erlen in the Swiss canton of Thurgau . The north-west away from the highways of Amriswil located farming village with Kratz, powder house and sub-lion house was from 1803 to 1994 a local congregation of Munizipalgemeinde alders.
history
Kümmertshausen was mentioned in 771 (?) As Chuniberteswilari and in 1245 as Cuonbrechsus . In the late Middle Ages , the bailiwick of Kümmertshausen was in the hands of Constance citizens. In 1471, the episcopal court master of Constance, Hans Lanz von Liebenfels, sold the bailiffs of Kümmertshausen and Sommeri to the prince abbey of St. Gallen . Until 1798 Kümmertshausen part of Malefizgerichts Sommeri while scratch to rule Oberaach and sub-Löwenhaus to court Hefenhofen belonged. Kümmertshausen, which was reformed, was always ecclesiastical after Sommeri.
Up until the beginning of the 19th century, arable and fruit growing predominated, later cattle and dairy farming dominated; A cheese dairy is mentioned in 1862. In 1830 calico and canvas weaving flourished . Two embroidery shops with 26 employees in 1878 brought a brief upswing. Around 1980 developments were built on the western and eastern edge of the village.
On January 1, 1995 , Kümmertshausen merged with the municipalities of Buchackern , Engishofen , Ennetaach , Erlen and the municipality of Riedt, which was separated from the municipal municipality of Sulgen, and became the political municipality of Erlen.
