literature
Gertrude Bayer, b. Bienert (formerly a poet and writer), the daughter of the Austrian industrialist Karl Bienert, once wrote about Sankt Jakob im Walde:
I saw a lot of the world but one where my eye falls - my heart beats so happily and faster - where you move so happily, a small place in the flower border - the area around a dream. Wonderful forests and meadows that let holidaymakers enjoy - the air is wonderful like nowhere else. Are you sad, there you will be happy - in this little paradise, the people are certainly so good and pure in their being that you can write and read! I'll be back soon - very soon ... You know what it's called? "Sankt Jakob im Walde".
