Landelijke Fietsroutes
The Landelijke Fietsroutes (short: LF routes ) form a nationwide network of cycle paths in the Netherlands . The main routes are signposted in both directions and have a letter addition (LF1a, LF1b etc.) depending on the direction. The overall network, however, is geared towards the knooppunten (nodes); Since intermediate signposts have their numbers as their destination, each line of the network has two different numbers depending on the direction.
The cycle touring networks in the Flemish part of Belgium are also based on the Dutch model . However, the activity of the individual provinces dominates there, while the Landelijke Fietsroutes network is very extensive. The hub system was established across the board by the Belgian province of Limburg . It was also adopted in some areas of Germany near the border.
The a-direction is always specified below.
LF1: Noordzeeroute (280 km)
This route is part of the North Sea Cycle Route , which runs through the Netherlands , Germany , Denmark , Sweden , Norway and Great Britain .
