The Old Synagogue Wuppertal meeting place is a memorial for the victims of National Socialism and has also been a Jewish museum since April 2011. It is located in the center of Wuppertal-Elberfeld, exactly where the synagogue stood until the so-called “Reichskristallnacht” in November 1938.
“Torah and Textiles” is the name of the museum's exhibition. Objects, documents and pictures on the religion and history of the Jews in Wuppertal and in the Bergisches Land from the first traces to the present can be seen here.
