The Moro Plantation is located in the southwest of Aroostook County on the border with Penobscot County . There are several lakes in the area of ​​the plantation. history

Moro Plantation was part of the large Rockabema Plantation in the southwest of Aroostook County. In 1846 this extended over T6 R5 WELS (Moro), T7 R5 WELS and the northwestern quarter of T6 R4 WELS (Merrill). When Megaplantations were dissolved in Maine in 1859, the Rockabema Plantation was reduced in size and only comprised the Township Number 6 Fifth Range West of the Easterly Line of the State (T6 R4 WELS). The name was changed to Moro in 1970. Moro was reorganized in 1887 and 1890.

The Maine State Route 11 the Aroostook Sceenic Highway leads north to south by Moro Plantation. It connects Moro in the south with Sherman and in the north with Fort Kent. In the north, at Knowles Corner , Maine State Route 212 branches off in an easterly direction and leads via Merrill to Oakfield. There are also other smaller roads in the area.
