Saint-Maurice is located about 17 kilometers southeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the Allier , which borders the municipality to the west. Saint-Maurice is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mirefleurs in the north, Busséol in the northeast, Laps in the east, Vic-le-Comte in the south and Les Martres-de-Veyre in the west.
