Saint-Vallier is a western French community with 136 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Charente-Sud (until 2015: Brossac ).

Saint-Vallier is located about 42 kilometers south-southwest of Angoulême . Saint-Vallier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brossac in the north and northeast, Bardenac in the northeast, Yviers in the east, Sauvignac in the south and southeast, Boresse-et-Martron in the west and southwest and Guizengeard in the west and northwest.
